Barry is our local election candidate for Stoke Park ward.

He was born in, educated in and currently lives in Ipswich. Barry became a Green Party activist at the start of 2010, after the failure of the Copenhagen climate conference in 2009. He believes global social justice, peace and sustainable living are worth standing up for.

Jen Overett

Jen is our local election candidate for Castle Hill ward:

"I was brought up in Suffolk, returning to live in Ipswich in 1987 and have mostly lived in the town since that time. I joined the Green Party around 8 years ago, attracted by its policies such as on social justice, quality of life, healthy food, and animal welfare, and because I see it as a party that gets things done for the local community and can really make a difference. I enjoy cycling, running and organic gardening. I have one daughter currently away at University. I have worked in social care for over 30 years and am a Suffolk County Council employee."
