Ipswich - Transport Fit for the 21st Century
26th October 2010
Ipswich Green Party are delighted to hear that the Transport Secretary has decided to invest £25 million into Ipswich town centre transport infrastructure. The scheme will greatly improve provision for travel by bus, by bicycle and by foot. This will reduce air pollution in the town, reduce stress caused by traffic jams and it will make it easier for residents and visitors to choose healthy and sustainable methods of travel. Ipswich Green Party commends the coalition government's decision and would like to see further public sector investment like this to enhance quality of life in the town.
The project is called Transport Fit for the 21st Century and additional details can be found on the Suffolk County Council website.
